I had such a fun week last week getting together with my girlfriends. Karrie, Kristen, Missy, & Mandy came in town for a special SWOSS BBQ at my house. We had so much fun reminiscing about old times. Most of us have been friends since we were tiny little things! I have always felt so blessed to have such amazing friends. I love these girls so much. And no matter how much everyone tries to figure out what SWOSS stands for they never will!!!! Well our husbands might know now, at least Paul does, sorry girls!
Another fun Party at my house this week too! It was a week of parties. Here is the Campbell House Girls! We were roommates in college our sophomore year. Alisa & Karrie live out of state so it's been a long times since we have all been together. It was so much fun. We have so many fun memories! I love these girls too!
Wow! I am so relieved that my 1/2 marathon is over. My bro-in-law Brad and I decided back in May that we would do the Hobble Creek 1/2 Marathon. We have been training since then and it has been hanging over my head for way to long. I am so glad it is over, and I am so glad I was able to finish the race!!! I have amazing blisters that hopefully won't take too long to heal, and I am very sore, I have never run that far! When we were at the top of the canyon I was looking around sizing up my competition and thinking "I shouldn't come in last because I think I can beat that person!" As I was running I had Ashley on my mind the whole time. She kept me going and kept me motivated. I kept thinking to myself as hard as this is I would much rather be going through this physical pain (because I was in a lot of pain at the end) than go through the pain I have felt in my heart over the past year and a half. Thanks Ash for helping Mommy through it!
Here is Paul clapping
I am so excited I'm about to finish I am cheering myself!
Here is Brad, who finished about 30 min. before me, way to go Brad!
Here is sweet Alice cheering me on too!
P.S. Thanks Jill and Lindsey for surprising me at the finish line. You guys are great friends!

You are amazing. I am so proud of you for doing it! Those are some gorgeos girls in those pictures above. Man the doors must have been knockin' at that house.
Emily,
Of course I was in tears after reading your blurb on your marathon. Good for you. You are so inspiring. Ashley and Alice have an amazing mom! You have made me a better mother!!Your friends are gorgeous like you. Hotness must always hang with hotness! :)
way to go rockstar! I am so gald to hear that your little angel carried you through right on to the finish line! congrats on your huge accomplishment, that is awesome :)
Wow! I am jealous! I would love to do one of those, but I die just being on the treadmill for 5 miles! Next time I will run with you and you can leave me in your dust!! Congratulations!!
You're amazing! It was such a great race. I loved reading about your motivating thoughts. I think about my kids a lot too when i run...i think people think i'm strange when I tell them that running is sometimes as much of a spiritual thing for me as it is mental and physical...although it's plenty of the other two. LOL
Yeah Em! I'm so proud of you!
It was so fun hanging out this week. We should all go out on a date or something. I'll give you a call next week (my family is coming in town this weekend.) Love you!
Emily, This is your brother Tim, next May they have marathon and 1/2 marathon on Great Wall of China. Hope to see you then.
Emily,
Congratulations! What an awesome accomplishment. Alice is such a cutie.
you are awesome - look at you out running marathons! good for you. glad to see that you're getting some good time in with your girl friends - good friends really are the best!
Wow! That is awesome that you ran a 1/2 marathon! I ran 3 miles this morning and it was not pretty. How much have you been running? I really should set a goal to do something like that --maybe I would get out there more often!
Thanks for feeding Andy so much! I am always jealous that he is up there hanging out with you; while I'm back here scared at night! Remember when you slept over at our place while the boyz traveled for football? Well, nothing has changed, I am still a chicken! See you in a couple weeks!
Em-
Thanks again for having us over. It was SO nice to be around you all and to actually see cute little Alice.
And those are awesome pics of your half marathon. What an accomplishment! You're amazing!
I love the one of you cheering and Paul cheering.
I remember this 10K I ran, no one was there to cheer me on or greet me at the end... I know, I know, how sad... :) But, It's definitely a different race to have the support of your friends and family! It's so great to know that you have that support I'm so glad you did. and I'm glad Ashley could help! I'm sure she's SO proud of her mommy!!
love ya and Thanks again!
Mandy
